2022 Pantone Color oF the Year: Veri Peri

It's here and it's...purple. Veri Peri is the 2022 color of the year from Pantone. 

Here is what they say about it:

"Encompassing the qualities of the blues, yet at the same time possessing a violet-red undertone, PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression."

I love the color purple. It can be super sweet in lavender or bold and intimidating in a deep wine or mulberry. It is one of the first colors I am drawn to when picking out anything, especially in my house of boys where I need a "girl" color that is not pink. (not every girl wants things to be pink!) But I don't use purple as much as I thought I would in my artwork. 

So to combat this purple problem I have I created 3 color palettes with this Veri Peri color in them. I will play around with these to get some more purple in my life!
